Our Vision & Values

Quality Care Devon believes that all our service users should be looked after with the utmost dignity and respect, and are proud of the high standards we provide through a continuing philosophy of developing standards and delivering service.

 

Whether the service is to provide personal care, help with domestic tasks or shopping, we aim to ensure that we provide the best possible service based on the service users’ needs and requirements.

 

Service users can contact the local branch at any time during office hours by telephoning the number on the Contact page. We also operate an ‘On Call’ service outside these office hours to deal with emergency situations.

Quality Care Devon is accredited by Social Care and is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the regulator for all health and social care services in England. 

 

We are also a member of the United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA), which is the representative body for organisations that provide personal care to people in their own homes.

Our Statement of Purpose is in the office and can be made available to you on request. The Statement of Purpose sets out the legal status of our company, the services we provide, where we provide them and the people who are reasonable for overseeing them.

Our Staff

We employ qualified, caring staff who work to the highest possible standard. They are sensitive to service user needs and understand that to achieve our aims we need to respect our service users and earn their respect. Equally important is their personal ability and their desire to work with a variety of people in different settings. We always aim to allocate Care Workers on the basis of the skills they have to undertake the tasks you require. There may be occasions when your Care Worker is of a different gender or age to you. We take pride in our staff training and development, and you can be assured that all staff are qualified and appropriately trained.

 

Within our branch we employ a number of Team Leaders and Care Workers. We encourage our staff to complete QCF Level 2 and 3 in Health & Social Care to ensure they have the best knowledge and experiences.

 

All new staff follow a thorough induction programme, completing the care certificate and some topics including the below:

 

After completing their induction, we monitor staff with spot checks and supervision. The branch is run by a Manager who holds a level 5 in management of domiciliary care services. Alongside the service manager the Co-ordinators and the administration staff are responsible for the day to day running of the office.
